Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo), you will be greeted with a warm welcome and assisted with your transfer to Kandy, located around 115 km away in the scenic hills of central Sri Lanka.
Enroute Visit to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage & Spice Garden (Optional)
Depending on your flight arrival time, you can make a memorable stop at the PinnawalaElephant Orphanage, a sanctuary established in 1975 for orphaned and injured elephants. Watch these gentle giants as they roam freely, bathe in the river, and interact with one another in a peaceful setting. You may also explore a Spice Garden, where you can learn about Sri Lanka’s world-famous spices and their uses.
Afternoon Kandy City Tour
In the afternoon, set out to discover the charm of Kandy, the last royal capital of the Sinhalese kings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit highlights such as Kandy Lake, Kandy Market, Old City Streets, the fruit market, and a gem gallery.

After breakfast, proceed from Kandy towards the picturesque hill station of Nuwara Eliya, famously known as “Little England” of Sri Lanka. En route, stop at the magnificent RambodaFalls, the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka at a height of 109 meters. Continue to the Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, built by the Chinmaya Mission, where the tallest Hanuman statue in Sri Lanka (18 feet) stands. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, enjoy a tea plantation and factory visit, where you can witness the process of Ceylon tea making amidst rolling green hills. The town’s colonial architecture, cool climate, and scenic beauty of lakes, waterfalls, and mountains create an enchanting atmosphere.

This morning, visit the Seetha Amman Temple and Ashok Vatika (Hakgala Botanical Garden), an important Ramayana site believed to be where Sita was held captive by King Ravana. The serene temple and surrounding gardens add a spiritual charm to the visit. Later, embark on a Nuwara Eliya city tour, exploring Gregory Lake for a peaceful boat ride or lakeside stroll, the colonial-style Victoria Park with its vibrant flower beds, and a strawberry farm where the fresh produce is grown in the cool climate. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Galle blends Dutch and Portuguese influences with vibrant local culture, offering a charming mix of history, architecture, and seaside beauty.
At the heart of Galle lies the Galle Fort, a perfectly preserved 17th-century Dutch fortress. Wander its cobblestone streets lined with colonial-era buildings, boutique shops, and quaint cafés. Notable landmarks include the Galle Lighthouse and Ramparts, Dutch Reformed Church, Galle National Museum, Groote Kerk, Flag Rock Bastion, Galle Fort Clock Tower, bustling local markets, and vibrant art galleries. For a touch of natural beauty, visit Unawatuna Beach, home to the Rumassala Ramayana site.
Later, continue to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling capital city. If time permits, enjoy a Colombo City Tour & Shopping, with highlights such as the Independence Memorial Hall, Viharamahadevi Park, and the Colombo Museum. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.
