DHARAMSHALA AND DALHOUSIE TOUR

On arrival at Chandigarh Railway Station, you will meet our representative and proceed towards Dharamshala. En-route, visit Naina Devi Temple (Bilaspur), located at the hilltop. One of the 51 Shakti Peethas, Naina Devi Temple is a popular pilgrimage site in Himachal Pradesh and is believed to be the place where the eyes of Sati fell. After darshan, continue to Chintpurni Temple, a sacred site holding immense religious importance. It is believed that wishes made here with a true heart are fulfilled.After darshan at Chintpurni Devi, continue your journey to Dharamshala.

Today, proceed to visit Chamunda Mata Mandir, dedicated to Goddess Kali. As one of the nine temples in the Nau Devi Yatra, this temple is among the oldest monuments in Chamba. After darshan at Chamunda Mata Mandir, visit Mata Jwala Ji Temple, a revered shrine dedicated to Goddess Jwalamukhi. The temple has nine permanent flames, each named after a goddess: Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Bindhya Basni, Maha Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika, and Anji Devi. Then visit Maa Baglamukhi Temple and seek blessings from Maa Baglamukhi, known as the source of all knowledge in the universe. Afterwards, proceed to Shaktipeeth Shri Bajreshwari Devi Temple, also known as Kangra Devi Mandir. Located in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, this temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and is dedicated to Goddess Vajreshwari, a form of Durga. Return to the hotel in the evening. The rest of the day is at leisure.

After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of McLeodganj. Begin with a visit to Bhagsu Nag Temple, followed by Dal Lake, Naddi, a Tibetan Monastery, and the revered Dalai Lama Temple. Admire the large idols of Buddha and visit the charming St. John’s Church in the wilderness. Dharamshala was also the final resting place of Lord Elgin, a British Viceroy of India in the 19th century. After sightseeing, transfer to Dalhousie, named after Lord Dalhousie, a British Governor-General in the 19th century. Surrounded by varied vegetation like pines, oaks, and rhododendrons, Dalhousie offers a refreshing retreat.

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Dalhousie.
Visit Panjipula and Subhash Baoli, followed by an excursion to Khajjiar, which is 24 km from Dalhousie and surrounded by thick deodar forests. Often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India", Khajjiar is known for its picturesque meadows. A small lake lies in the center, and you can enjoy the serene views or participate in adventure activities like paragliding, zorbing, and horse riding (at your own expense). The drive from Dalhousie to Khajjiar is exceptionally scenic.
